A straightforward Koh Lan day trip
Koh Lan can be visited independently, but a relaxed day depends on checking current boat information and avoiding an over-packed plan.
Start at the correct pier
Regular Pattaya–Koh Lan services operate from Bali Hai. Confirm the destination pier, fare and last return directly at the official counter on the day.
Choose one or two beaches
The island is small but hilly. Songthaews are often the simplest choice for visitors unfamiliar with local motorbike conditions.
Carry the basics
Bring water, sun protection, cash and a waterproof way to protect documents. Sea conditions can affect crossings, so keep the return plan flexible.
